Workshops and one-on-one instruction
In-person and remote workshops in digital negatives and alternative process printing, plus one-on-one instruction. The through-line is learning to read a print and respond to what it is actually doing, rather than applying a recipe and hoping.

One-on-one instruction
Remote sessions over video, working on your own equipment and your own images. Most people come with a specific problem; we start there.
Single session
75–90 minutes
$150
One focused session on whatever is in front of you — a calibration that will not behave, a print that is not working, a workflow decision.
Three-session block
3 × 75–90 minutes
$395
Enough continuity to work through a whole problem: build the profiles, print from them, then review what came back and adjust.
Portfolio mentorship
75–90 minutes
$150
Review and critique of your work rather than your process — sequencing, editing, and where a body of work is actually going.

What is ILCC?
Intuitive Localized Contrast Control is an approach to black and white printing that treats burning and dodging as contrast decisions made in specific places, rather than global adjustments applied to the whole frame. It is how darkroom printers have always worked. ILCC is the method for doing it deliberately with digital tools, and it runs through everything taught here.
